1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Ceylon Villas website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use our services. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.
2. Booking Terms and Conditions
2.1 Reservation Process
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion.
2.2 Payment Terms
- A deposit may be required to secure your reservation
- Full payment is typically required before or upon arrival, as specified in your booking confirmation
- We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as indicated on our website
- All prices are in the currency specified and are subject to applicable taxes and fees
2.3 Pricing
All prices displayed on our website are subject to change without notice. The price confirmed at the time of booking is the price you will pay, unless there are errors in pricing which we will notify you about immediately.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
3.1 Cancellation by Guest
- More than 30 days before arrival: Full refund minus processing fees
- 15-30 days before arrival: 50% refund
- Less than 15 days before arrival: No refund
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7-14 business days
3.2 Cancellation by Us
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your reservation, we will provide a full refund or offer alternative accommodation of similar standard, subject to availability.
4. Guest Responsibilities
Guests are expected to:
- Provide accurate information during the booking process
- Respect the property and other guests
- Comply with all house rules and local regulations
- Report any damages or issues immediately
- Not exceed the maximum occupancy stated in the booking
- Use the property only for lawful purposes
5. Property Rules and Restrictions
5.1 Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in time: 3:00 PM
- Check-out time: 11:00 AM
- Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability
5.2 Smoking and Pets
- Smoking is prohibited inside the property
- Pets are not allowed unless prior written permission has been obtained
- Additional fees may apply for pet accommodation
5.3 Events and Parties
Events, parties, or gatherings exceeding the maximum occupancy require prior written approval and may be subject to additional fees and security deposits.
6. Limitation of Liability
Ceylon Villas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of our services.
We are not responsible for:
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Injuries sustained on the property (except where caused by our negligence)
- Interruptions to services due to circumstances beyond our control
- Changes to local attractions or amenities
7. Damage and Security Deposit
A security deposit may be required at check-in. This deposit will be held to cover any damages, excessive cleaning, or violations of house rules. The deposit will be refunded within 7-14 business days after check-out, minus any deductions for damages or violations.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property, its contents, or common areas during their stay.
8. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these terms which is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, or other force majeure events.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Ceylon Villas or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written permission.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes amicably before pursuing legal action.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.
